Thousands of parts per order or thousands per week or
thousands per month, Quick Tek Machining can set-up the
proper tooling, fixturing and machines to be cost-effective
at the required production volumes.
For several years, Quick Tek machined, on contract, a
forging into several part numbers in production volumes.
Dictated by customer demand, the volumes totaled 800 to
1,200 pieces per day (17,000 to 25,000 pieces per month).
The process involved two machining cells -- one consisting
of a CNC machining center and two fixtured drill presses
and the second cell consisting of two CNC turning machines.
The two cells required just 1-1/2 operators total per shift on
two to three shifts to produce 17,000 to 25,000 pieces per
month.
